KCARD is a 501 (c)-3 non-profit organization established to facilitate agricultural and rural business development in Kentucky. KCARD provides technical assistance, educational opportunities, and business support services to businesses that are mutually owned by producers.
The Kentucky Agricultural Development Board will invest monies from the Kentucky Agricultural Devleopment Fund in innovative proposals that increase net farm income and affect tobacco farmers, tobacco-impacted communities and agriculture across the state through stimulating markets for Kentucky agricultural products, finding new ways to add value to Kentucky agricultural products, and exploring new opportunities for Kentucky farms and farm products. Kentucky Proud is a statewide advertising and promotional campaign. Agricultural products grown, raised, or processed in Kentucky are eligible. There is no fee to join Kentucky Proud. This program is administered by The Kentucky Department of Agriculture.
The AMS administers programs that facilitate the efficient, fair marketing of U.S. agricultural products, including food, fiber, and specialty crops.
The SBDC has been assisting the Commonwealth's small business community for more than 25 years. With 15 service centers statewide and an experienced and knowledgeable staff, KSBDC provides unparalleled consulting and training services that help existing business owners and potential entrepreneurs succeed. Services include: one-on-one management consultations, training workshops, market research, loan packaging help, assistance with financial projections and information needed to make informed business decisions.
