Creed, Lewis and Savage Selected for AAFCS Leadership Academy

Three of Kentucky’s Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Extension agents have been accepted into the 2013 American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) Leadership Academy.  This is the first year for this program and only fifteen professionals were chosen to participate.  The program will begin in June 2013 and will continue through June 2014.

Throughout the program, participants will complete multiple webinars, attend national conferences, and participate in various leadership workshops.  By participating in this academy, participants will gain knowledge and skills to enhance their leadership abilities.  They will also be prepared to assume leadership roles not only in their professional areas but also within AAFCS.  Academy participants will partner with other professionals through a mentorship designed to further enhance their leadership skills.
