Retailing and Tourism Management

Merchandising, Apparel, and Textiles Core Courses

Students work with a faculty advisor and committee members to select a thesis or non-thesis project and review appropriate supporting coursework. All students, thesis and non-thesis, are required to complete the following core coursework.

RTM 600 Research Methodology in Human Environmental Sciences
RTM 650 Survey of Current Theories & Literature
RTM 768 Residence Credit for Master Degree
RTM 772 Seminar in Merchandising and Textiles
STA 570 Basic Statistical Analysis

Curriculum requirements vary based upon the track chosen.  Students on the thesis track are required to take an additional 16 hours of 500-700 level courses; non-thesis students are required to take an additional 20 hours of 500-700 level courses.

Hospitality Management and Tourism Core Courses

Students work with a faculty advisor and committee members to select a thesis or non- thesis project and review appropriate supporting coursework. All students are required to complete the following core coursework.

HES 600 Research Methods in Human Environmental Science
DHN 648 Management of Hospitality and Dietetics Organizations
DHN 770 Seminar in Hospitality & Dietetics Administration
DHN 772 Current Topics in Hospitality & Dietetics Administration
DHN 768 Residence credit for Master Degree

STA 570 Basic Statistical Analysis
STA 671 Regression and Correlation
 

Curriculum requirements vary based upon the track chosen.  Students on the thesis track are required to take an additional 9 hours of 500-700 level courses; non-thesis students are required to take an additional 12 hours of coursework electives.
