HES Fast Facts: Retention and Graduation Rates
Retention and graduation rates are an important measure of student success. In the fall of 2006, 63 first-year full-time students entered our programs. Of these, 65% remained enrolled within the same department entering their second fall semester. By the fourth year, 33% remained enrolled in the same department. Fourteen percent graduated within 4 years and an additional 14% graduated within 6 years. Many students enter majors in the School of Human Environmental as transfer students from other degree programs and are not tracked in the first fall to graduation data.
