Hans Receives 2008 Provost's Award for Outstanding Teaching for Non-Tenured Faculty

Dr. Jason Hans, Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Studies, has been selected as a recipient of the 2008 Provost's Award for Outstanding Teaching for Non-Tenured Faculty.  The awards are presented annually and recognize faculty and graduate teaching assistants who demonstrate special dedication to and success in their teaching.  Dr. Hans is the first recipient of the Provost's Outstanding Teacher Awards from the School of Human Environmental Sciences.

Dr. Hans joined the faculty in the Department of Family Studies in August 2004.  His professional interests focus primarily on post-divorce families, including remarried family process and intergenerational family obligations such as child support.  He is also actively engaged in research related to reproductive issues such as abortion and posthumous reproduction.  Past honors received include recognition as the most outstanding graduate instructor at the University of Missouri in 2002 and as the most outstanding graduate researcher at the University of Missoui in 2004.

Dr. Hans will receive his award at a formal ceremony on April 18.  The School of Human Environmental Sciences congratulates Jason for his commitment to teaching and receipt of this honor.
