Post Graduation Planning

The Human Nutrition program graduated 38 students in the past year (December 2009, May 2010, August 2010).  Of these students 90% are continuing their education after graduation.  The greatest number of students graduating in the past year will be attending pharmacy school.  These numbers do not count students who were in the Human Nutrition major and were accepted early into Pharmacy School or professional school, thus not completing the major.  Exact numbers for 2009-2010 are provided below.

  • Pharmacy School - 8
  • Physical Therapy - 6
  • Physician Assistant - 5
  • Graduate School in Nutrition or Health Related Field - 5
  • Medical School - 4
  • Work after graduation - 4
  • Dental School - 3
  • Nursing - 2
  • Optometry - 1
Those students planning on applying to professional or graduate school need to start preparing early and should be familiar with requirements for application.  The University of Kentucky has undergraduate advising services for most professional programs.  The Central Advising Office is located in Room 109 Miller Hall.
