4-H HORSE FACILITY…Last year it was a pilot-program with temporary facilities.  This year the West Ky 4-H Camp in Dawson Springs has permanent horse facilities capable of a year-round riding program.

TURNER MEMORIAL CROSS-COUNTRY CHALLENGE…Wayne Hoover bicycled across the country raising money for the Larry Turner Memorial Scholarship Fund.  Extension Today caught up with Hoover in Indianapolis for a day of rest, two-thirds of the way on his cross-country journey.

BELL CO. ORGANIC GARDENING…In an effort to get more people involved in gardening the Bell County Cooperative Extension Service enlisted the help of a volunteer leader.  Pat Biggerstaff is a self-taught organic gardener who has other people excited about growing their own vegetables.

KY MARKET MAKER…A new website is up and running called MarketMakerKy.com that is connecting buyers and sellers.  Find out more about it in an interview with Bob Perry of UK’s Food Systems Initiative.

TODD CO. EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM…An empowerment program offered by the Todd County Cooperative Extension Service is empowering residents of a housing complex and this year they are growing their own garden to share with other residents.

PRINCETON FIELD DAY ’07…Extension Today takes a look back at this year’s All-Commodity Field Day at UK’s Research and Education Center at Princeton.
