EQUINE INITIATIVE…UK’s Maine Chance Farm will be the future site of the new equine research campus.  It’s part of UK’s goal to become the world leader in equine teaching, research, and service. 

EQUINE EDUCATION PROGRAM…Beginning in the fall of 2007 UK will offer for the first time ever a new undergraduate degree program in equine science and management to better serve Kentucky’s multi-breed horse industry.  The program will be lead by an experienced Extension Horse Specialist.

UK PRESIDENT LEE TODD…It’s been a while since he has been on Extension Today On The Air, but UK President Lee Todd is a guest on the program.  President Todd sat down for a conversation on a variety of topics relating to the College of Agriculture and the Cooperative Extension Service.
TRISTATE DIVERSITY CONFERENCE…Working across state lines is happening more today in the Cooperative Extension Service and in northern Kentucky that’s the case with the third Tristate Diversity Conference bringing the University of Kentucky and Kentucky State University together with Ohio State and Purdue Universities.
JABEZ QUILT SEMINAR…For the seventh straight year more than 100 quilters from across the state met at the Kentucky Leadership Center on Lake Cumberland for the Jabez Quilt Seminar.

through Friday on Insight Cable Television in the Lexington area at 7:30 PM on channel 19. Extension Today is also offered on many cable systems throughout Kentucky.
