AG ECONOMIC OUTLOOK …Once again optimism is the theme for Kentucky’s agricultural economy for 2007.  UK Ag Economists predict farm cash receipts could hit a record $4.3 billion dollars this year.

INTERVIEW WITH DEAN SCOTT SMITH…Extension Today starts the new year with a state of the college and Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service update with the Dean and Director of the UK College of Agriculture Scott Smith.

PIKE COUNTY THEATRE COMPANY…A young theatre company in Pike County, under the direction of Fine Arts Extension Agent Stephanie Richards, participated in a statewide theatre festival on the UK Campus. 
HARLAN CO. EXTENSION DEPOT…Most train depots in small towns have disappeared with the decline of rail travel.  But in Harlan County the old train depot is back, thanks to the Harlan County Cooperative Extension Service.
JOE DAVIS PORTRAIT…The former Dean of Instruction in the UK College of Agriculture, the late Joe Davis, will be remembered forever in the college with the unveiling of his portrait in late December.   The portrait will be placed along side other former academic deans in the Ag Science Building. 
AG WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR ’07…Will the mild weather continue this winter?  Find out what UK Ag Meteorologist Tom Priddy is predicting for this winter and beyond in 2007.
