Research Spotlight: Kenneth F. Haynes

Dr. Kenneth F. Haynes' research focuses on questions about insect behavior and chemical ecology. In the February, 2012 issue of Scientific American, he shared his research about the disturbing comeback of the bed bug as well as explained how to defend against them.

Dr. Haynes was recently given the C.V. Riley Award at the annual meeting of the North Central Branch of the Entomological Society of America. In February of this year, he was inducted by the AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Science) Council to the rank of Fellow for being one of its members whose “efforts on behalf of the advancement of science or its applications are scientifically or socially distinguished.”
