UK Corporate Sustainability Award
Large and Small Company Categories

The University of Kentucky Corporate Sustainability Award recognizes Kentucky-based companies as well as companies that have a presence in Kentucky. Two categories will be awarded: large company (> 500 employees) and small company (< 500 employees).

 

  Selection Criteria

The University of Kentucky Corporate Sustainability Award is based on four criteria: strategic vision on corporate sustainability performance, economic performance, environmental performance and societal performance.

  1. The corporate strategic vision should reflect the company’s commitment to sustainability. This includes sustainability goals, sustainability performance indicators or memberships in industry coalition groups aimed at promoting sustainability.
  2. Economic performance is based on financial performance, local market presence and indirect economic influence.
  3. Environmental performance is based on the extent to which the actions of the company in material usage, energy, water, biodiversity, by-products and waste, and compliance affect the environment.
  4. Societal performance is based on human rights, labor practices, product responsibility and social responsibility.
 
  Application Materials
Complete application form with contact information must be submitted by the application deadline. Late or incomplete packages will be eliminated from consideration.
 
  Selection Process

Submissions will be evaluated by a committee designated by the TFISE Showcase Steering Committee. Recipients of the Corporate Sustainability Awards will be selected based on the criteria indicated above and recognized at the Awards Reception.
