Although the University of Kentucky has nearly 30,000 students on its Lexington campus, the College of Agriculture offers individual attention and a sense of community. Students feel at home from their very first day on campus in an environment where faculty and staff are dedicated to helping each student succeed.
The College of Agriculture offers all the opportunities of a large research institution with the feeling of a small college. Students have access to caring faculty, real-world education and superior resources in a friendly setting that is conducive to learning and personal development.
Equine clubs and teams
UK's College of Agriculture is home to six active equine student organizations. Whatever your horse interest, there's most likely a club whose members share your passions.

Partnerships with other universities
Over the past few years, the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville equine programs have been collaborating on several shared projects, including a consortium display at the World Equestrian Games and the Kentucky International Equine Summit. Another of these collaborative efforts is an elective course for equine students from both programs that emphasizes genetics, nutrition, reproduction and the athletic horse.
