Appearance:

Variable in coloration from light grayish-orange to a deep orange. Blotches have a black edges. adults typically range from 30 to 48" in length.

Notes:

Restricted to two areas of Kentucky near the Red River Gorge & Mammoth Cave. Can be locally abundant in these areas. Eats rodents, birds, lizards. Somewhat secretive spending much time underground or hidden.
