UK students participate in financial simulation

School of HES honors student excellence
Congratulations to HES Students of Excellence and Distinction. Student of Excellence awards were presented to eight outstanding students. Blake Dickens and Brett Dickens, twin brothers majoring in human nutrition, were named as Undergraduate Students of Distinction. Laura Frey, doctoral student in family sciences, was named as Graduate Student of Distinction.

Congratulations to Meredith Cinnamon, graduate student in the Department of Merchandising, Apparel and Textiles. Cinnamon received first place in the Herman & Myrtle Student Paper Competition at the 2013 American Association of Colorists and Chemists International Conference. Meredith is presenting her work at the Interflam International Conference in Windsor, United Kingdom in late June. Full story

Dr. Ingrid Adams, Assistant Extension Professor, Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition. Dr. Adams received a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to study disparities in obesity prevention for Asian Americans.
Dr. Amy Hosier, Assistant Extension Professor, Department of Family Sciences. Dr. Hosier was received the 2013 Applied Gerontologist Award from the Southern Gerontological Society and was named as a "Teacher Who Made a Difference" by the UK College of Education.
