The Natural Resources and Environmental Science (NRES) major is an interdisciplinary environmental B.S. program housed within the College of Agriculture. The UK NRES program has been in existence for 19 years and has a framework based in the social and natural sciences while focusing on written and oral communication and experiential learning.

Congratulations to NRES junior Stratton Hatfield! Stratton is one of 50 students to receive an honorable mention from the Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. In Fall 2010, UK's Natural Resource Conservation and Management (NRCM) degree program was changed to Natural Resources and Environmental Science (NRES) degree program. While the focus on natural resources remains, this name change reflects significant curriculum improvements and a renewed focus on communication with stakeholders - students, faculty, alumni and employers.
