Position

Nathaniel (Than) J. Hartsock is a Division Sales Manager for the John Deere Agricultural & Turf Division. He is responsible for the marketing and sales of all agriculture and turf equipment through the independent John Deere dealer network in Illinois and part of Missouri. Than and his team work with dealers to develop marketing strategies and execute sales initiatives while satisfying a diverse customer base.

Preparation at UK

Than's M.S. advisor was Dr. Tom Mueller. Than published two research journal articles about topics in precision agriculture. “My studies provided me a strong research foundation which I draw upon regularly when addressing new challenges. I also learned how to effectively work as a team to achieve a common goal and how to clearly communicate results to a range of audiences and stakeholders, both written and verbally.”
