Location

Kentucky Seed Improvement is located within the Kentucky Foundation Seed Building at the University of Kentucky's Spindletop Farm.  The Spindletop Experiment Station is located just north of Lexington on 2000 acres of prime farmland. 

 

 
Directions

Traveling from Lexington

  • Travel to Newtown Pike and take it northbound (away from downtown) until you pass under I-75
  • Proceed straight through the traffic light at Stanton Way and continue 2 miles until you reach the four way stop. 
  • Take a LEFT at the four way stop.  The Kentucky Seed Improvement Association will be on your right.  A green sign marks the entrance.

 

 Traveling South on I-75

  • Take exit 120, go to the end of the off ramp and take a LEFT.
  • Proceed past the Kentucky Horse Park until the road becomes two-lane.
  • The Kentucky Seed Improvement Association will be on your right.  A green sign marks the entrance.

 

Traveling North on I-75

  • Take exit 115, go to the end of the off ramp and take a RIGHT.
  • This is Newtown Pike (922) - Proceed straight through the traffic light and continue 2 miles until you reach the four way stop. 
  • Take a LEFT at the four way stop.  The Kentucky Seed Improvement Association will be the first road to your left.  A green sign marks the entrance.

 

Traveling East on I-64

  • Take I-75 North to exit 120,
  • Go to the end of the off ramp and take a RIGHT.
  • Proceed past the Kentucky Horse Park until the road becomes two-lane.
  • The Kentucky Seed Improvement Association will be on your right.  A green sign marks the entrance.
